What a way to start 27...
I don't know where my head has been today... up in the clouds for sure.
I burnt an entire roast, with the potatoes and all... Yes an entire roast!
For those of you who don't know me, I LOVE to cook!!! I pride myself on my cooking, and I have never really burnt anything, except maybe some cookies once. But, today I burnt a whole meal. I had put the roast and potatoes in a slow cooker earlier in the day. I wanted to cook it before it went bad and for my husband who gets home late in the evening. I'm not a beginner when it comes to a slow cooker, nor when it comes to cooking this particular dinner. I don't know what was wrong with me. I had forgotten to first pan sear the sides to create a crust to seal in the juices and then I go ahead and set the timer on HIGH, not low, for 8 HOURS!! What the hell was I thinking?!?!?!
I left for my parents earlier that day and when I came home I immediately smelled the ruined food, if you could even call it that. YUCK!
I really am concerned here for myself.
On a much more optimistic note, today I purchased a lottery ticket for the power ball. I usually do on a weekly basis but today was different. Here is what dawned on me as I drove away from the gas station....
~I bought a lottery ticket on my 27th birthday, for a lottery that will be drawn on the 27th day of the month. If you take those two numbers and switch them, 27.... you get 72, which is the exact millions that the jackpot is worth~
I'm feeling lucky! Or maybe just making something out of nothing? Later on today I was quizzing my husband on questions about me...
Me: "what time I was born?"
He didn't know.
Me: "8:27pm" as a matter of fact.
Luis: "and that would be another 27!..."
I'm thinking that 27 or 2 and 7 might just be my lucky numbers for this years age?
